In 2018 the G7 development finance institutions (DFIs) made a commitment to deploy $3 billion before the end of 2020 in emerging markets private sector investments that benefit women - the 2X Challenge. Sam McManus discusses the impact of the initiative with Anne-Marie Lévesque, Director, Gender and Impact Management at FinDev Canada and Jessica Espinoza-Trujano, Vice President, Investments, Private Equity & Venture Capital at DEG

Between 2018 and 2020 the initiative mobilised $11.4 billion, and is currently looking to far exceed this number in further commitments.
