CDC makes bid for Zambian power company

CDC Group, the UK's development finance institution, has made a bid to acquire a majority stake in the Zambian power transmission, distribution and generation company, Copperbelt Energy Corporation. If the offer is successful, it will be partly financed by A P Moller Capital's Africa Infrastructure Fund, CDC's co-investor.
