AfDB approves loan to African Local Currency Bond Fund

The African Development Bank (AfDB) has approved a loan of ZAR 140 million (about $10 million) to the African Local Currency Bond Fund (ALCB), to further enhance the fund's portfolio and promote the development of domestic capital markets across the continent. The fund was incorporated in 2012 by German development bank KfW.
