EIB agrees €8bn financing for 34 projects across the globe

The European Investment Bank has approved a total of €8 billion of new financing for 34 projects in the European Union, Africa, Asia and Latin America. It includes €1 billion for the completion of the Antwerp by-pass and €1.2 billion for new research and innovation investment in Spain. Sectors to benefit from the financing include education, energy telecommunications, transport, urban development projects and business lending programmes.
