EIB approves €6bn backing for business, transport, health and housing

The European Investment bank has agreed financing worth €6 billion to boost hospitals and healthcare in France and the Netherlands, commuters in Poland, Spain, France and India, and energy consumers in Bulgaria, Greece and the Gambia.

The lender approved financing worth €4 billion for new investment by SMEs and industry, €1.3 billion for urban and regional rail and road transport, €621 million for hospital and healthcare investment.
