The US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has issued a call for initial proposals from gas sector-related projects with US company involvement. Companies are invited to submit an initial concept paper on projects related to gas infrastructure development in order to apply for grant funding to encourage export trade.

Project proposals will be assessed on their potential to generate US exports, ability to attract finance, the development impact, and strength of the offeror.

In 2017, the inaugural year of the US Gas Infrastructure Exports Initiative, generated over $1.5 billion in US exports and funded thirteen gas-related activities in over 20 countries.
