NIB and SpareBank 1 SMN sign SME financing deal

Region:
Europe

The Nordic Investment bank and Norway’s SpareBank 1 SMN have launched a NOK1 billion (€105 million) loan facility for small and medium-sized enterprises and environmental projects in Norway.

The six-year loan programme will be used for onlending to SMEs in the real estate, agriculture, forestry, fisheries and transportation sector, as well as to environmental projects in the counties of Trøndelag, Møre og Romsdal and Sogn og Fjordane.

It will alleviate credit constraints for small and medium-sized companies, and facilitate the growth of their productivity and competitiveness, the NIB says.
