IFC: Rufat Alimardanov appointed Resident Representative for Mongolia

The International Finance Corporation has appointed Rufat Alimardanov as Resident Representative for Mongolia. 

Alimardanov, based in Ulaanbaatar, is responsible for coordinating IFC's program of investments and advisory services in Mongolia.

Alimardanov joined IFC in 1997 in Washington D.C., where he worked on projects involving various sectors - from manufacturing and services to financial markets - across different regions.

In 2004, he relocated to Moscow to build and lead IFC's business development team for Eastern Europe in the areas of manufacturing, services, agribusiness as well as chemical, oil, gas, and mining. In 2011, he moved to Kyiv to assume the role of IFC Country Manager for Ukraine and Belarus.

In 2017, he moved to Istanbul to work on resolving non-performing loans in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa region.
