IDB Invest and Banco Davivienda Salvadoreño sign $100m green financing

IDB Invest has signed a financing package for up to $100 million with Banco Davivienda Salvadoreño in El Salvador.

The operation, with a tenor of five years, is aimed at financing environmentally friendly projects and small and medium-sized enterprises in El Salvador. The financing consists of a $50 million loan from IDB Invest and a $50 million loan mobilized through co-financiers. The financing will help mitigte climate change, as the green financing portfolio contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, among others.
