Philippines rolling stock procurement launched

Japanese suppliers have been invited to bid for the rolling stock supply contracts for the Malolos-Clark Railway Project and the North-South Railway Project-South Commuter line in the Philippines. The contract involves the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, commission, integration, and technical support for seven-unit eight-car train sets. The bidding deadline is May 8. The contract will be funded from proceeds of a JPY167.199 billion loan provided by JICA, which was signed on 21 January 2019.
