CABEI funds construction of Territorial Gender and Diversity Centres in Argentina

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) will provide $50 million in support for the construction of 14 Territorial Gender and Diversity Centres in Argentina's 23 provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. 

The centres will provide training, prevention, and promotion of gender equality and, in some cases, will house people who are victims of gender-based violence and their children. The first centres will be located in the provinces of Buenos Aires, La Pampa, Santa Fe, Santiago del Estero, Chaco, Formosa, Misiones, Tucumán, Catamarca, La Rioja, San Luis and Santa Cruz. 

The total amount of this project is $55.5 million and is part of CABEI's operations in Argentina in the areas of human development and social infrastructure and services for competitiveness.
