JICA agrees development projects loan to Morocco's FEC

Region:
Middle East & Africa

The Japan International Cooperation Agency has agreed a $165 million loan with the Fonds d’Equipement Communal (FEC) to finance development projects of the Territorial Communities of Morocco. The financing is the first project under the non-sovereign operation scheme granted by JICA to Morocco. Projects covered by the facility will consider both environmental and social aspects.

FEC is a public financial institution in Morocco whose main mission is to contribute, through its credits, to the financing of the implementation of the equipment and infrastructure projects in the country's local governments.
